Committees

In April 2003, the PACE-EH Coalition established a formal structure that includes four committees. These committees are open to new members (so please come join us!) and meet once or twice monthly.

Membership Team

The Membership Team supports the activities of PACE-EH community organizers and is responsible for developing and conducting a Community Outreach and Education Plan. This Team works to create multiple ways to participate in PACE-EH activities, and develop criteria for assuring diversity in coalition activities. The Membership Team is also responsible for orienting new members to the coalition.

The Membership Team meets the 4th Thursday of the month from 5:30-7:00pm. For meeting location information, contact Kevin Odell at kevin.r.odell@co.multnomah.or.us or 503-799-4404. Click here for a list of members.

Steering Committee

The Steering Committee is responsible for developing the structure of the coalition and creating a coalition–approved work plan and timeline. The Steering Committee also plans and facilitates Coalition meetings. Members collaborate with other PACE-EH committees to assure diverse community participation, create multiple ways for people to become involved, and assure the completion of the environmental health assessment. Other responsibilities include creating a communication plan and capturing the history of PACE-EH decision making.

The Steering Committee meets the 3rd Monday of the month from 5:30-7:00pm. For meeting location information, contact Erin McNally at erinsmcnally@hotmail.com or 503.335.1407. Click here for a list of members.

Assessment Team

The Assessment Team’s responsibilities include identifying environmental health issues to be addressed within selected communities and developing an Environmental Health Assessment Plan. Plan development includes determining the scope of assessment, research methods, research questions, and data analysis methods. The Assessment Team is committed to a participatory approach to assessment that involves members of our partner community at every step.

The Assessment Team meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month from 5:30-7:30pm. For meeting location information, contact Sandy Johnson at sandy.a.johnson@co.multnomah.or.us or 503-988-3056. Click here for a list of members.

Support Team

The Support Team serves a primarily administrative role and provides staff support for committees and coalition activities. It is responsible for maintaining infrastructure to sustain PACE-EH processes by seeking grant funds, supporting community organizer positions, and developing leadership of Coalition members. The Support Team is made up of Multnomah County Health Department staff and is not open to new members. The Support Team meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month.
